Happy Easter! This morning I woke perfectly, lazily, and then went for a nice, long walk with my dog. Though it's still a bit chilly, the sun was out and tiny petals were falling from the trees like snow all around me. The grass was grass-green and the sky was sky-blue. It was a beautiful, spring morning and I am extremely grateful for it.
Though you know I hate the forwarded emails, my good buddy Lauren sent me another one that I'd like to share, if only because it is so appropriate for today. Here are some positive, Easter-y insights courtesy of a "Happy Easter!" email forward:
Don't put all of your eggs in one basket.
Everyone needs a friend who is all ears.
There's no such thing as too much candy.
All work and no play can make you a basket case.
A cute tail attracts a lot of attention.
Let happy thoughts multiply like rabbits.
Keep your paws off of other people's jelly beans.
Good things come in small, sugar-coated packages.
The grass is always greener in someone else's basket.
To show your true colors, you have to come out of your shell.
The best things in life are still sweet.
Even if you don't celebrate Easter, those are pretty fun to think about. Yes, they're pretty cheesy, but who doesn't need a good reason to smile (or laugh) on a Sunday morning? Whether you're celebrating with family and friends today or not, take a few minutes to think about the people in your life that you're grateful for. Let the happy thoughts multiply like rabbits!

Very cute. Thanks for the smile.
I take "issue" with the one that reads there's no such thing as too much candy.
Oh yeah? Come over to my house to hang with my 5-year old and almost-3-year old...and you'll SEE the Sugar Transformation with your very own eyes! ; )
Have a great Easter Sunday.

Kirwin - I agree with your "issue." There's definitely such a thing as too much candy (especially when it comes to young kids!) Too much of anything can be a bad thing! I hope you have a great Easter too.
