According to the Wikipedia entry on Disney's Friends for Change, this movement "is a pro-social 'green' initiative that started in the summer of 2009. Disney's stars stress environmental Issues (like saving water) In the campaign. The year-long campaign draws on how Disney stars connect with young fans. Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, and Selena Gomez are among the stars in the 30 second to 2 minute public service announcements currently airing on Disney Channel, which explain how kids can help preserve the planet (with help from their friends, hence the name, Friends for Change) and tell them to go to the Friends for Change website to register and pledge which is sometimes said as 'reg and pledge.' Already, a difference has already been made by kids (and their friends) everywhere. Two projects -- Climate and Water -- are already underway.
