I love your site (I commented the other day on hope springs internal! I didn't realize I could just.. type in my info instead of logging into OpenID haha.. I'm "S") & this post & your blog. I completely agree with all of these points. I used to be the most negative & self-hating person ever, but only after lots of determination to learn how to do these things.. I'm actually happy now, and I'm so grateful. I agree that loving yourself is a big step. I think really, happiness & positivity comes from when we first cherish our own being. :]

Sui - Thanks for commenting! :) I'm so glad to hear that you could relate to this post and to what I was going through about a year ago. It's not always easy to be positive, but it's become a lot easier since I began working on loving myself!

Happy Birthday to PP! I love the story of being 13 and picking out a silver pen at Tiffany's, thats crazy:) You have been an amazing example to anyone who wants to change their life. Go celebrate!

Having a positive attitude and thinking in a positive way is the most important things in life. I should know, I went without it for a good part of my life. You are doing a great job!

LOVE your attitude!!! THAT'S the way to live your life. If only everyone could be so fortunate to see this.

P.s. I became your 1,200th follower on Twitter! Sweeeeeeet.

Congratulations and best wishes for many more years to come.

You know you're right, Dani. It does some down to choices. And deciding to live life positively is a great one to make as it totally changes our outlook on life.

Like Tess, I enjoyed the part where you chose the silver pen from Tiffanys. The sign of a true writer.

Happiness always! Here's to the beginning of year two. :)

Congratulations Dani! Keep up the good work :)

Steve - It's definitely so important to have a positive attitude and I also spent years without one. Some much has changed (for the better!) since I started focusing on the positive things in my life.

Lindsey - Thank you! It's been a really hard thing for me to learn, but these lessons have taught me so, so much about life and about who I want to be.

Mike - Thank you very much! It's taken a lot of hard work to get where I am now so I really appreciate encouragement like the words in your comment. :) Thanks for following me on Twitter too!

Dani, I am studying how to blog at university and your site pretty much ticks all the boxes of what to do! I've chosen this post to analyse for my assignment, I hope you don't mind! I figured I may as well choose a blog that I love to read and inspires me so it doesn't feel like hard work. Keep it up! From Steph in Australia.

Stephanie - Thanks so much for choosing to analyze my blog! :) Reading this comment made my day! Best of luck with your studies and if there's any additional info you need from me, let me know!

Hi Dani, I just wanted to thank you for writing such a thoughtful and inspiring blog! I have read quite a few of your entries over the past couple of months and I find it so helpful when I'm feeling stressed or anxious with my place in the world. A big thank you, I dont know what I'd read online to inspire me if PP was not around! Thank you :) From Sophia, like Stephanie above, in Australia (Sydney).
