Is there a way to supercharge the positivity in your life? Can you inject more of it into your life when you’re feeling under the weather? I believe you can. But remember, it’s always easier to increase the positivity in your life when you’re already soaring high in the clouds. In the end, it doesn’t really matter where you are, because the following 9 positivity tips will catapult you past the clouds and into space, where you will be filled with fantastic feelings of joy.

9 Great Positivity Tips

1. Gratitude. The first and most obvious tip is always gratitude. It’s simple. I’m sure you’ve heard it before, but how often do you actually apply it, and I mean really apply it? I’m lazy with it as well, but when I get into a groove, it makes a big difference. I might do it after I get out of bed and before I go to sleep. I’ll think about all the things I’m grateful for. You can be grateful for having forks, spoons, and cups to drink from. It really doesn’t matter, as long as you feel the feeling of gratefulness.

2. Hangout. Feeling blue, or any other slightly depressing color? Although blue is my favorite color. I don’t know why they use that terminology. Anyway, hanging out with friends that support you and that energize you will lift your mood right up. I’ve noticed this over and over again in my own life. You don’t feel like chatting when you go, but all is well when you arrive and start talking.

3. Idea Manifestation. For me there is nothing more phenomenal than working on my own projects and making my ideas real. It’s amazing how we can have a thought, an idea, and start taking action to bring it into our reality. We are all capable of this, but most of us do not utilize our magnificent powers.

4. Face Fear. Facing your fears is scary, but once you start doing it, you’ll notice that you feel lighter and more positive. It’s almost as if you leave old baggage behind. You don’t need to carry all that stuff with you. Facing your fears shows you that your fears are not what they seem to be.

5. Nature. Walking out in nature and marveling at the peacefulness will jolt you with joy, happiness, and positivity. Observe the stillness all around nature. There is no rush. All is perfect. These are the messages you get when sitting beside a tree, flower, or even a frog sitting in the water.

6. Travel. I personally really enjoy traveling; it’s just the transportation I don’t like. We need to come up with better forms of transportation, such as teleportation. Traveling changes you. I took my first long trip when I was 19. I went to Spain. Lived there for 8 months and came back to Sweden. I came back a changed man, and since then it has only gotten better.

7. Kindness. The more you help others, the better you’ll feel. You can help someone across the street, assist an online friend in getting their blog up, or go full-on and volunteer in another country.

8. Journal. Writing down my thoughts has always helped me get clear. There’s something about getting everything out of your head and onto paper. You can write in any way you like, as long as you don’t censor yourself. Let your writing flow. Write down your perceived problems and I think you’ll be amazed at the clarity that follows.

9. Listen to Your Soul. Last, but definitely not least comes the importance of listening to your soul, to that unseen voice within you. Your heart has things to tell you, and you aren’t listening. Ask yourself: How can I listen to myself more? Does it mean sitting in stillness? Does it mean writing a daily journal without censoring yourself? When you follow your heart, life becomes phenomenal, fantastic, and exciting.

I so agree with the third tip: idea manifestation. I always end up with most wonderful feeling after I've created something from my imagination- a definite bounce in my step. It makes me feel like so many things are possible!

Thanks for giving me another opportunity to write for your awesome blog, Dani!

@Molly - I completely agree! It's a great feeling to just create, especially when it comes from the hart.

Lovely post, and it comes at the most pleasant time, as seasons are changing and we're heading towards darker times, where you are much more likely to become overwhelmed by negativity. Thanks for sharing!

Hi, very insightfull post. I really liked #10. It's amazing what your soul will tell you if you just listen to it!!!
Thanks, Dandy

@Dandy - By 10, I'm going to assume that you mean 9, and yes, your soul is the one that knows what's going on!

@Thea - Thanks for reading, Thea! The sun is going into hiding, but that doesn't mean we have to ;)

What a great list. I completly agree with tip number one, you have to be greatful for the blessings you have, I make sure I do this every night before I go to sleep.

Molly - That's great point. Creating something in your mind can make you feel a lot more positive about any situation -- and it can help you realize what it is that you really want to happen.

Henri - You're welcome! I'm so glad you were able to contribute another inspiring post. Thanks so much!

Thea - I agree that Henri's post came out at a great time. Things are getting darker these days and it really helps to be positive!

Dandy - If you listen to yourself, you'll always find the truth you need to hear. It's simple advice, but it's something that we forget so often. I'm glad #10 inspired you to recall this great life lesson.

Zoya - Yes, Henri's list is a great one! #1 is very important and, in my opinion, an essential element to living a positive life. The more grateful you are, the more likely you'll be to see the good in everything around you.

What a brilliant list. I like number 2 because it is unusual - we may know that journalling and gratitude makes a difference to us but can often forget the simplest (and most important?) things such as spending time with loved ones and having a good giggle.

I find idea manifestation is a real turbo boost ... I enjoy the process and the product.

Kate - I agree that Henri made a great point with #2. It's something we don't necessarily realize the benefits of, but keeping track of what we're grateful for can make a HUGE difference in how we see the world.

J.D. - Definitely! I agree. Great point about the process and the product -- both have a lot of value.
