Thanks for this. I could def have used this last year. I was going through the hardest time in my life. But you are right FOCUS on the + in your life and realize you are NOT alone! thats what helped me most...knowing that I have my friends, family, and my blogging family to lean on! :)

Great post, thank you! I also used to have a tough time in December and it helped to talk to friends and not get stuck in the moment. Remember that the summer will come eventually. Also watching some good-mood movies like "Under the tuscan sun" or "Mamma mia" usually helps when I'm in a melancholic or bad mood.
